What is Psychotherapy and how can it help?

Psychotherapy is essentially a ‘talking therapy’. Integrative Psychotherapy treats you as an individual rather than following a fixed approach. Instead it employs different psychological approaches to best help the specific issues you are facing. The aim is to restore a sense of balance and harmony.

Each day many thousands of people find that psychotherapy helps them with their mental and emotional problems like stress, anxiety and depression.

Psychotherapy is what’s known as a ‘talking therapy’, although it is really also a ‘listening therapy’.

This is why psychotherapy is a collaborative process - we work together to identify, explore and help resolve the issues you are facing. We do this in a safe space, without criticism, judgement or expectation.

The intention is to help you enjoy greater happiness and success in every area of your life, whatever that means for you.

We are all different and different types of psychotherapy suit different people. So, rather than follow one specific school of psychotherapy, I use an integrative model. This means that I tailor my approach to help you most effectively with your unique needs and circumstances. These can include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Grief Counselling, Clinical Hypnotherapy or Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).

I am a registered member National Council Integrative Psychotherapists - MNCIP (Reg.) 361193.
